As part of our Stay safe programme, Local Garda Síchonna visited Scoil Mhuire to talk to the pupils of 5th and 6th class about Internet safety and Safety on the Roads.  After a presentation and discussion the children got a chance to see a working Garda Car and some even got a chance to be handcuffed and put into the car.  The children really enjoyed the morning and we would like to thank Garda O’ Connor and Garda Hunt for making the lesson so enjoyable.

This term we have been learning about teeth and how to care for them. The dental programme was called Mighty Mouths. We`ve learned lots about teeth e.g how to hold your toothbrush, how plaque forms and not to rinse after brushing. Last week the dental expert came in to present us with our Mighty Mouths certificate.
